Czasami mam wrażenie, że niektóre odcinki są sponsorowane. Tak jest chociażby z tym. Oto mamy nowe odkrycie dziewczyn - crowdfunding. Jeszcze z samą ideą wzajemnego wsparcia nie byłoby nic złego, bo przecież temat jest jak najbardziej na topie, ale już lokowanie produktu w postaci reklamy najpopularniejszego serwisu tego typu, czyli Kickstartera, daje pole do spekulacji. Możliwe, że twórcy sami sobie pozwalają na personalne wycieczki po wszystkim, co jest akurat popularne. Jeśli tak, to szczere gratulacje. Niewiele jest seriali, które w jakikolwiek sposób starają się komentować obecne nastroje i zachowania społeczeństwa, a szczególnie te dotyczące konsumpcjonizmu. 2 broke girls robią to notorycznie - w sposób zabawny i niczym nieograniczony. Tym samym sitcom przypomina nieco stare, dobre Glee. Tam mieliśmy komentarz społeczny uczniów małej miejscowości, tutaj - konsumencki dwóch dziewczyn; jednej z nizin, drugiej z wyżyn, która zbankrutowała. Cóż za piękny dualizm!
Skupiając się jednak na fabule, zauważymy dwa wątki. Pierwszy z nich, czyli kickstarter, został już wspomniany na początku. Kiedy klientki (irytujący tembr głosu obu) pokazują Max możliwości portalu crowdfundingowego, wszystko się zmienia. Dziewczyna przekazuje nowo poznane funkcje Caroline, która przy okazji chce zmienić spodnie - szczególnie że stare nosiła zdecydowanie zbyt często, a do tego jej się potargały. Postanawia założyć profil na kickstarterze i zebrać upragnione środki. Oczywiście zdobywa je, co pozwala jej zakupić drogie ubranie (1500 dolarów za spodnie?!).

Drugim wątkiem, nawet ciekawszym, bo rozwijającym relacje pomiędzy dziewczynami, jest list od sieci komórkowej, która pozwala wymienić telefon na nowy. Dzięki wymianie starej komórki z klapką (zawsze można się z cegiełek pośmiać) na nowego smartfona, Max wchodzi na zupełnie nowy poziom interakcji. Zaczyna SMS-ować jak opętana, co źle wpływa na jej relacje z Caroline. Trochę w tym motywów edukacyjnych jest, ale czy mają aż takie znaczenie?
Drugi odcinek nie był zły, jednak nie nazwałbym go też wybitnym. Ot, taki typowy średniak, w którym ciekawie wykorzystano motyw komórki i kickstartera. Za wiele do fabuły nie wniósł, ale pozwolił pośmiać się z Hana i innych bohaterów. Może to zmęczenie materiału, może to moje "widzimisię", ale nie bawiłem się tak dobrze jak poprzednio. Mam nadzieję, że kolejny epizod będzie jednak lepszy.
