Escape From City 17 – film w świecie gry Half-Life

Pierwsza część była jednym z najwyżej ocenianych fanowskich filmów osadzonych w świecie tej gry. Autorami są dwaj bracia, którzy pokazali, że pomimo 250 dolarów budżetu, da się zrobić coś, co wygląda zaskakująco dobrze.

What can you get for two hundred and fifty bucks? It you're talented enough - and filmmaking duo The Purchase Brothers are very talented, indeed - you can get yourself fifteen minutes of trans-dimensional action.

The brother act won a lot of attention for themselves a while back with their Half Life fan film Escape From City 17 and now the duo have headed back to their familiar stomping ground for the much longer and more ambitious Escape From City 17 Part Two. And it just goes to show that if you've got talent and enough time there's pretty much nothing that you can't accomplish.

The scale of the action is truly remarkable here, as is the quality of the alien / robot effects. Blow this up into a feature and I'd pay to see this movie. Check it out below.
