W centrum odcinka stoi wątek Adama, któremu szykuje się szkolna potańcówka. Problem polega na tym, że mały Goldberg nie umie tańczyć, a chce zaimponować ukochanej. Obserwujemy zabawne i nieporadne perypetie chłopaka, który próbuje nauczyć się tańca. Jego rozmowy z siostrą dostarczają frajdy, a współpraca z bratem jest typowo głupkowata i niepoważna. Zabawa zaczyna się, gdy Adam posuwa się do desperackiego kroku - poproszenia matki o pomoc. Po tylu odcinkach mogliśmy się spodziewać, że będzie to wielki błąd, bo pani Goldberg jak zawsze jest szalona, nadopiekuńcza, a tym razem też przekomiczna.
Twórcom udaje się poruszyć w sposób niezwykle przyjemny wątki relacji rodzinnych, które nasycone są odpowiednią dawką emocji. Widzimy to w próbie siostry Adama, która chce odciągnąć matkę od potańcówki, oraz w samych scenach w szkole, gdzie pani Goldberg musi "dojrzeć" i dać swojemu synowi trochę przestrzeni. Robi to oczywiście w sposób wzbudzający sympatię i uśmiech. Można rzec, że w relacji matki z Adamem dochodzi do kompromisu i pogodzenia potrzeb (w odróżnieniu od dotychczasowej skrajności).
Wątek Murraya, który ma Barry'emu opowiedzieć o seksie, jest zaledwie poprawny. Ich przekomarzanie się, nieumiejętne próby wyjaśnienia sprawy są momentami przekombinowane i nieśmieszne. Na plus wypada jedynie sam fakt poważnej rozmowy syna z ojcem, bo posiada w sobie coś budującego i ma kluczowy wpływ na rozwój postaci. Właśnie to jest w The Goldbergs dobre - nie mamy tutaj komizmu dla samego śmiechu, ale też postacie, które należy rozbudowywać.
The Goldbergs oferuje nam tym razem zdecydowanie więcej dobrych gagów niż poprzednio, dostarczając rozrywki na wysokim poziomie.
